music and vinyards
by Carlo Cignozzi
Excursions on the estate of Dr. Giancarlo Cignozzi where the growth of his vines is accompanied by the music of Mozart, Mahler, Vivaldi and other great composers. An unforgettable and completely unique experience, not to be missed.

The Project "Sound & Wines" has as its protagonist wines created in the biodynamic process of music.

Since June 2005, when the Department of Vegetable Neurology at the University of Florence first became involved in the project, the growth of vines to the notes of Mozart is no longer just a suggestive way to embellish the vineyard, but a reality that has become the prelude to interesting scientific discoveries.

The current research conducted with the University has yielded results that demonstrate improved growth and quality of both the leaves and roots of the vines exposed to harmonious musical vibrations as compared to those that were not.

Next year, research will expand to include the evaluation of the maturation of the grapes and, consequently, the effect that sound has on the wine making process itself.

The news of these experiments has roused the curiosity of the international media and, as a result, the interest of a prestigious American multinational audio company, Bose, which has recently offered to sponsor the technical aspects of the research.
